Solid Ink Cool Grey Tattoo Ink

Solid Ink Cool Grey is a smooth grey tattoo pigment with a cooler character, giving artists a ready-to-use neutral for designs where straight black or a warmer grey isn’t the right fit. Its understated tone makes it useful for creating softer areas, subtle contrast, and controlled transitions within both color and more muted tattoo palettes.

Cool Grey works well for illustrative tattooing, Neo Traditional work, backgrounds, metallic effects, stone, smoke, shadows, and other subjects that call for a neutral grey. Use it on its own or pair it with blacks, whites, blues, and other greys to build additional depth and tonal variation.

Why Artists Choose Cool Grey

Cool Grey gives tattooers a consistent grey tone straight from the bottle, making it useful when you want a softer neutral without mixing black and white for every application.

Its cooler character also makes it a practical addition to palettes built around blues, purples, blacks, and other cool colors. Use it for subtle transitions, muted backgrounds, metallic-looking elements, or anywhere a softer grey can add separation and dimension.

An opaque dark grey, suitable for metal looks, great for blending with colors to bring unique tones to your pallet.
