Solid Ink Bordeaux Tattoo Ink

Solid Ink Bordeaux is a deep wine-red tattoo pigment inspired by the rich red tones associated with Bordeaux wine. Darker and more subdued than a traditional bright red, it gives artists a ready-to-use option for adding depth, contrast, and richer red areas to a color palette.

Bordeaux works especially well for Traditional and Neo Traditional tattooing, florals, illustrative work, darker red accents, and full-color designs. Use it on its own for a deep wine-red tone or alongside brighter reds to build smoother transitions and greater depth.

Why Artists Choose Bordeaux

Bordeaux gives tattooers a deeper alternative to brighter reds without having to darken a standard red themselves. It’s particularly useful for roses, florals, fabric, shadows, ornamental work, and other areas where a richer red helps create dimension.

It also pairs naturally with Solid Ink Blood. Solid Ink recommends combining Blood and Bordeaux when you want to create deeper, more intense red tones.

Great for flowers, deep and bright, perfect to combine in transitions with red and violet, this is the darkest you can get in pure magenta.
