J Style Tattoo Machine Frame

The J Style Tattoo Machine Frame is a durable steel frame built for performance, precision, and builder control. Designed as a versatile foundation, this frame can be built out as either a liner or shader depending on your coil, spring, and armature bar setup. It is a solid choice for machine builders who want a traditional steel frame with room to fine-tune the final machine to their preferred feel and function.

This frame uses 8/32 threading and is made to fit 1 1/4" coils. It can also be used with 1 1/8" coils when paired with a 1/8" yoke, or 1" coils when paired with a 1/4" yoke. The frame requires a 1.875" overall length armature bar, with liner or shader selection depending on the build. Recommended rear spring setup is 1.55" liner spring (SPRL1.55) or 1.7" shader spring (SPRS1.7), with front springs left to the builder’s preference.
